A multiplication chart is a grid that displays the products of every pair of numbers within a given range — typically 1 to 10 or 1 to 12. It is one of the most useful reference tools for learning times tables, helping children spot patterns, check their answers, and build confidence with multiplication facts. Below you can download three free printable multiplication charts, each designed for a different stage of learning.
How to Read a Multiplication Chart
Find the first number in the left-hand column and the second number along the top row. Follow the row and column until they meet — the number in that cell is the product. Because multiplication is commutative (3×4 = 4×3), every fact appears twice in the grid, which means there are fewer unique facts to memorise than the chart might suggest.

Free Printable Blank Multiplication Table Chart
A simple and good way to practice the multiplication table and test your level of knowledge is to fill in the blank multiplication chart by yourself.
Here you can download an empty multiplication table and fill it in yourself. Then, you can compare the table you filled in with a full multiplication chart, to test your level of knowledge.
Which Multiplication Chart Should You Download?
The black-and-white chart is ideal for bulk printing in classrooms or as a simple desk reference. The colour chart uses a different shade for each row, making it easier for visual learners to spot patterns and keep their place. The blank chart is the best option for self-testing — children fill it in from memory and then compare with a completed version. We recommend starting with the colour chart for learning, then switching to the blank chart once your child feels confident.
