Halloween Multiplication Color by Number — Free Printable PDFs
Turn times-table practice into a Halloween treat. Each free printable color by number worksheet on this page hides a spooky picture — a bat, a black cat, a friendly ghost, a jack-o'-lantern or a witch's hat — behind multiplication facts. Children solve each fact, find the answer in the color key, and the picture appears shape by shape. Teachers sometimes call these color by code or mystery multiplication worksheets; in the UK they're colour by number sheets — they're all the same happy idea: no answer, no color.
Every pack below is a two-page PDF: the worksheet plus a full answer key, so marking takes seconds. Pick the times table your class is working on, from the 2s to the 12s, or grab the mixed-tables sheet for revision. All sheets print beautifully in black and white — every color in the key is printed by name, so a photocopied class set works just as well as a color one.

❓ FAQ
Are these Halloween multiplication worksheets really free?
Yes. Every PDF on this page is free to download, print and photocopy for home or classroom use. No sign-up is needed.
What is a multiplication color by number worksheet?
Each area of the picture shows a multiplication fact. The child solves the fact, looks the answer up in the color key, and colors that area with the matching pencil. Solve everything correctly and the finished picture looks just like the answer key. The same activity is also called color by code, mystery multiplication, or colour by number.
Which times tables are covered?
There is one Halloween sheet for every times table from 2 to 12, plus a mixed-tables sheet for revision. If you need a different combination — say the 3s and 4s together — use the generator above and build it in a few clicks.
Do they work in black and white?
Yes. The color key prints the name of every color under its swatch, so a black-and-white photocopy is fully usable — children read the name instead of the shade. The colors are also chosen to stay tellable-apart for colorblind children.
What age are these for?
Roughly ages 7–11 (2nd to 5th grade / KS2), depending on the table. The 2s, 5s and 10s suit beginners; the 7s, 8s and 12s stretch confident learners.
Can I print on US Letter or A4?
Every sheet comes in both sizes — the main link is US Letter and the “A4 version” link beside it is native A4. The generator builds either size with one click, too.
